A balanced brain-body-heart system is a unified system. This balance is physical, emotional, mental, and cognitive (integrated brain). We also have amazing energetic systems – meridians and chakras – to support our whole being.
When the energetic systems are balanced, we function efficiently, with our whole being, in the present moment. We act. We feel. We connect. We grow. We thrive. When a point within the energetic system is unbalanced, that is to say, either over-energized (excess) or under-energized (deficient), we become stuck.
In the Brain Gym® programme (Educational Kinesthetics), we are introduced to meridians in the “In-Depth: The 7 Dimensions of Intelligence” course. Within the Motivation Dimension, we learn basic information about the 5 Elements Theory and the over-and under-energy of the meridians. We look at the meridians from the perspective of Affirmative Statements; words related to the essence of the meridians. It is usually the opposite of the statement where the individual is stuck, the “conscious expression of an unconscious block.”
The 4 meridians commonly connected to the solar plexus are stomach and spleen (earth), and liver and gallbladder (wood).
Let’s take a look at the 4 meridians that are related to the solar plexus…and the amazing similarities!
