Are you ready to create change in an area of your life? Changing your mindset is an integral part of creating change. Here are some tips to help build a mind set to move you towards sustainable change.

Dress and act for the role you wish to play.

Look for someone who has already achieved or acquired the change that you wish to implement into your life.  Observe their lifestyle, behaviours, social circles, daily routines. Evaluate if any of those are in line with choices you would like to make, and then put them into practice. For example, if you would like to become more fit, you may choose to embody the habits of a fitness expert or a friend who you deem to be fit. Where do they work out? What time do they wake up and go to sleep? What does their diet look like? How much time do they dedicate to their fitness routine? What kind of clothes do they wear? Sometimes mimicking the behaviours and images of others allows us to create the mindset of the positive aspects we see, which can lead to them developing within ourselves.

Daydream and visualize what it will be like.

By daydreaming and visualizing what it will be like to become or acquire your desired change, you will begin to create new neural pathways. Repeated thoughts begin to build new beliefs and patterns. When we start to think about how something will be, we also begin to create the energy of possibility. For many, seeing is key to believing, so if you can start to visualize the picture or even draw it on paper, it can help you to strengthen your belief in it coming true.

Consistency, Consistency, Consistency.

Forming new thoughts, behaviours, beliefs and patterns requires consistency. Repetition can help build habits and before you know it, the new habits can replace the old ones without you having to think about it. In addition to this, if these new habits are part of your desired change, you will likely want to engage in them daily as you enjoy this state of being.

Change is a key element of growth and evolution, these simple tips can help you facilitate change with ease, helping you to be and see the change you wish to see.
